Birthday ~ kids

This week’s challenge at Swap Sisters, was to make a project using something from your garden ‘nature’.  I had to make a 4th Birthday card for a young man I know, so here it is:

Happy 4th Birthday!!

I have used ‘Crystal Effects’ on the truck tyres and window to add a glazed look.  Stampin’ Up! Sweet Treat Cup in the truck bin filled with gravel.  Everything is Stampin’ Up! except for the number 4’s.

Pink, Pink and more Pink!!!   After having two boys, my 3rd child was a little girl  ~ hence I am very new to the world of pink and I have to say I am absolutely loving it!! lol!!

Here is a card to welcome a new baby girl using the Sweet Treat Cup and the Something Sweet Stamp set.   I have made it into a babies rattle and filled it with sugar butterflies (or dollar butterflies, in the baking isle at the supermarket)….. sweet!!

Hello new baby!

Here are some fun little containers that can be used for almost any ocassion….. birthday loot bags, fill it with chocolates, trinkets, lollies.  How about using Christmas Designer Papers for a little Christmas gift, Easter, Valentines and much more.

Change the shape and size by using a different size of paper!   They are so much fun and very simple!

The hostess from my last workshop received the large pink one below ‘To you from Me’ filled with Stampin’ Up! Ribbons, Brads, Buttons and a mini stamp!

Happy Birthday little boy!

I can’t believe that my second will be two tomorrow!!  He is certainly changing a lot and growing up to be a real little character…….. and what little boy doesn’t like rockets :D

So, here is his birthday card…. now I just have to go and make a rocket cake tonight!

Happy Birthday little man!  xxox

zoom!

I think this has to be one of my favourite colour combinations yet!  and it was so easy to do as it uses colours from the Stampin’ Up! set of ‘In Colours’.  I used cardstock and coordinating ink to complete this card, along with some dazzling diamonds (fast becoming a favourite of myn) and the stamp set ‘Big Bold Birthday’.  You will also see something new from the Summer Mini catalogue which is the ’sweet treat cup’ ~ absolutely FAB!

Note:  If I was making this card for anyone other than my son, I would recommend placing the outer of the sweet cup underneath a layer.  This would be achieved by using the 4.4cm circle punch that the sweet cup would ‘poke’ through.  But….. since this was for my 2 year old and he would want to get to the lollies as quick as possible I just placed it on the top  ~ I hope that makes sense!

Sweet treat

If the cake turns out well (fingers xx)… I may even post a piccie!

Added 7.12.09 – and here is the cake……
