This week’s challenge at Swap Sisters, was to make a project using something from your garden ‘nature’.  I had to make a 4th Birthday card for a young man I know, so here it is:

Happy 4th Birthday!!

I have used ‘Crystal Effects’ on the truck tyres and window to add a glazed look.  Stampin’ Up! Sweet Treat Cup in the truck bin filled with gravel.  Everything is Stampin’ Up! except for the number 4’s.

Further to my last post about our Feb 2010 swap at Swap Sisters, here is the swap I received.  Isn’t it wonderful!!  You can view Tia Routledge’s blog to see more of her wonderful creations at http://craftingwithtia.weebly.com/index.html

Can you guess what the ‘Summer’ theme is?  Look at the bag and the Designer Paper that has been used, does it remind you of anything…….. hint it’s something you eat in summer that is delicous!!!   It’s Neapolitan Icecream! or some people have said Licorice Allsorts.

At Swap Sister, the February 2010 Swap was to create a 3D project with a ‘Summer’ theme to send to a fellow Demonstrator.  We also had to develop a tutorial for our project.  What does summer mean to me? was the first question ~ picnics, BBQ, cocktails, relaxing, beach, icecream, flowers……

So this is what I made, it’s a little ‘flower box’ with some flower seed packets in covers (sunflowers etc).

If you would like to receive the tutorial for this flower box, please email me at inspiredexpressions@iinet.net.au and request a copy.

This is my first ‘challenge’ entry, I’m so used to just going with the flow so it certainly was a challenge to work from a ‘template’.   This was the design set by the design team….

SS Challenge

And……. this was my card.   I have used the edge of my ink pad to ‘criss cross’ my Baroque background stamp to give it a rustic feel and detailed with some Dazzling Diamonds.   Ok, not sure how I feel about this card, this is what happens when I rush something, oh well I had a go!
